Every Frame Holds a Story.

MEMORA HOUSE is a small framing and preservation studio. We help people display the artwork, photographs and keepsakes that matter to them, beautifully and for the long term.

The story behind our studio

We started with a simple belief: a meaningful piece deserves to be seen properly.

Too many treasured prints, photographs and meaningful mementos spend years tucked away in drawers, boxes and cupboards because choosing the right frame can feel overwhelming. Finding the right style, colour, materials and level of protection is not always easy, especially when the piece holds a special memory or personal story. We created MEMORA HOUSE to make that process feel simple, thoughtful and enjoyable. We take the time to understand the history and character of each piece, listen to your ideas, and guide you through carefully considered framing options. From selecting the perfect moulding and mat colour to choosing suitable protective materials, every detail is tailored to complement your artwork, your space and your personal style. Our aim is to help you bring meaningful pieces out of storage and into your everyday life, beautifully presented, thoughtfully protected and ready to be enjoyed for years to come.

Our approach to craftsmanship

  1. Precise measurements

Sized to your piece, never to a standard template.

  2. Finished corners

Joins matched so the moulding reads as one clean line.

  3. Thoughtful proportions

Mat borders balanced so the image can breathe.

  4. Attention to detail

Every edge and surface checked, front and back.

Beautifully Framed.
Thoughtfully Preserved.

A frame has three jobs: to flatter the piece, to protect it, and to respect why it matters to you. We balance all three, so no choice is made for looks alone.

  • Aesthetics
  • Protection
  • Personal meaning
Our commitment to preservation

Conservation-conscious, layer by layer.

We carefully select archival-quality materials to help protect your artwork, photographs and treasured keepsakes over time. Wherever suitable, we use reversible mounting methods that allow a piece to be removed in the future with minimal impact, while avoiding unnecessary permanent changes. We also offer a range of protective glazing options to help reduce exposure to dust, harmful UV light and everyday environmental factors. Every element, from the backing and mount board to the frame and glazing, is considered as part of the complete design.

  • Protective glazing

Clear or UV-filtering options shield the surface.

  • Archival mat board

Keeps the artwork off the glass and free of acid.

  • Your artwork

Held with suitable, gentle mounting methods.

  • Sealed backing

A firm board closes the frame against dust.

Our design perspective

The right frame should enhance the beauty of a piece, complement its character and allow the artwork to remain the centre of attention. From the style and proportion of the frame to the choice of colour, finish and matting, every detail plays an important role in the final presentation. A slim, contemporary profile can create a clean and understated look, while a traditional moulding can bring warmth, depth and timeless elegance. Carefully chosen mat colours can draw attention to key details, create visual breathing space and help the artwork stand out without overwhelming it.
