Service 01

Custom picture framing

Our core service. We design a frame for one piece, not for a catalogue. That means choosing the moulding, mat colour, margins and glazing together so that they work as one composition.

Whether the piece is bold or delicate, large or small, we start by understanding where it will hang and what you want it to feel like.

Includes
Consultation, measuring, mat design, assembly and a final check.
Good for
Paintings, prints, photographs, posters, children’s artwork and more.
You choose
Moulding style and finish, mat colour and layers, glazing type.

Service 02

Fine art & print framing

Artwork asks for restraint. We frame originals, limited editions and posters so the work leads and the frame supports it, with margins and proportions that suit the artist’s intent.

  • Mat proportions tuned to the composition
  • Float mounting and full-bleed options for suitable pieces
  • Glazing choices that balance clarity and reflection
  • Frame depth and weight matched to the size of the work

Service 03

Conservation framing

For pieces you want to protect over the long term. Conservation framing uses materials and methods selected to reduce the risks that come from light, moisture, dust and unsuitable contact.

We do not promise outcomes that depend on a piece’s condition or where it hangs. We do explain every protective option honestly, so you can decide how far to go.

Materials

  • Mat boards made for contact with artwork
  • Suitable backing boards
  • Mounting materials chosen for the piece

Protection

  • UV-filtering glazing options
  • Sealed backing against dust
  • Advice on where to hang

Medals & awards

Held on fabric-covered mounts, secured to suit their weight.

02

Letters

Fixed with reversible methods so the paper stays safe.

03

Tickets

Laid out in order so the story reads at a glance.

04

Small keepsakes

Positioned so each object has room.

Service 04

Memorabilia & keepsake framing

Objects need space. We build deep frames, known as shadow boxes, so medals, tickets, letters and small keepsakes can sit properly instead of being pressed flat.

Set by the thickest item inside.
Layout
Arranged so the story is clear.
Backing
Fabric or board chosen to flatter the objects.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to common questions. If yours is not here, contact the studio and we will be glad to help.

How do I start a framing project?

Send an enquiry using the form on this page or contact the studio. Tell us what you would like to frame and, if you can, include approximate measurements or a photograph.

Do I need to bring the piece in?

It is best if we can see the piece in person, because colour, texture and condition affect the design. If that is not possible, clear photographs and measurements are a good starting point.

Can you frame unusual or three-dimensional items?

In many cases, yes. Memorabilia and keepsakes are framed in deep frames. Tell us about the item and we will advise on what is possible.

What is conservation framing?

It is framing that uses materials and methods chosen to reduce risks to the piece over time. We explain each option so you can choose the level of protection that suits it.

How long does framing take?

Timing depends on the size, the materials and the complexity of the piece. We will give you an expected timeframe once we have agreed on the design plan.

How much does framing cost?

Cost depends on size, moulding, mat, glazing and the work involved, so we quote each project individually. Request a quote and we will explain what is included.

Can I choose my own materials?

Absolutely. We guide you through the options and explain the trade-offs, and the final decision is yours.

How should I look after a framed piece?

Hang it away from direct sunlight and damp, and dust the frame gently. Avoid spraying cleaner onto the glazing, as liquid can seep into the frame. We are happy to give advice specific to your piece.

Request a framing quote

Tell us about your piece. The more detail you share, the better we can prepare for a conversation.

  • What the piece is, and roughly how big
  • Where it will hang, if you know
  • Any style or colour ideas you already have
  • Anything about its condition we should know

This form checks your entries in the browser, but it is not connected to a server yet, so nothing is sent. To reach the studio now, use the placeholders in the footer once they are filled in.
